Currently, we are having an unprecedented experience due to the impact of the novel virus, COVID-19. We are witnessing the cancellation of events, sales plummeting, and community members facing formidable challenges. Even though our stress and anxiety is elevated, there are still activities we can partake in for a stress reliever. The St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners and Fairwinds Golf Course rescheduled the 6th Annual Dickerson Ultimate Drive Golf Tournament benefiting United Way of St. Lucie County to Saturday, June 20th. The golfers will not only compete in eighteen holes of championship golf, but they’ll also take a break from the stress of the coronavirus while practicing social distancing.
St. Lucie County Administrator Howard Tipton is the Board of Directors’ Chair for United Way of St. Lucie County and he launched an ambitious workplace campaign and this signature golf event to raise money for the United Way. Each year the tournament committee volunteers and puts together this amazing fundraiser to create lasting change in St. Lucie County.
Registration will begin at 7 am and the tournament begins at 8:30 am a shotgun start. Dickerson Florida will be the title sponsor for the sixth consecutive year. Sponsorship opportunities are available for those who are interested.
This fundraiser will helps us improve the lives of families and individuals in the areas of Health, Financial Stability, and Education in St. Lucie County.
