Leadership development is vital when trying to advance within your profession. Receiving the proper knowledge not only improves your leadership skills, but also allows you to develop those around you. Kristen Hadeed, author of Permission to Screw Up: How I Learned to Lead by Doing (Almost) Everything Wrong, and owner of Student Maid, a locally owned cleaning and concierge service committed to empowering the next generation of leaders, is coming to the Sunrise Theatre on Friday, November 15th at 7pm. Hadeed will entertain and coach as she speaks about leadership, entrepreneurship, and empowerment. She’s been featured on Forbes, PBS, Ted Talks, and more.
Kristen Hadeed didn’t start her company with an elaborate business plan or even a simple three-step strategy. She had no noble cause in mind. The only business goal was to make enough money to buy a pair of jeans that she couldn’t afford. Her entrepreneurial approach to making some quick cash soon turned into a thriving business, but it took 75% of her workforce walking out at the same time to inspire her to pivot her focus to what truly mattered: Her people.
